JESSICA SETTA
Director of Water’s Edge Christian Services

Jessica studied social work at the University of Pittsburgh and graduated with her Bachelor of Social work. Upon graduation in 2004, Jessica has worked in various social work roles in Crawford County, and surrounding areas. She has experience in children and youth services, intellectually disabled supports coordination, employment coordinator, birth parent advocate, permanency specialist, post adoption support specialist, supervisor of post permanency services, and satellite director of an agency, serving all of Northwestern Pennsylvania.
In 2018 Jessica became a Trust-Based Relational Intervention Practitioner and has developed educational curriculum on attachment and parenting.

She has become increasingly passionate about filling the gaps of local services and serving families, especially in the role of advocacy. Jessica feels that she was called to serve children and families very early in life. She was raised in a family that provided foster care and was active in serving others. 

​

Jessica was noted for her ability to grow a cohesive, passionate team and the capability to develop and adapt programs to connect our community. She is excited to bring her talents to Water’s Edge Christian Services in the role of Director where she can continue to build connections within her community.  

​

Jessica currently lives just outside of Meadville with her husband, two children, and dog. She enjoys travel and experiencing new places and people. She likes to spend her time outside, hiking, kayaking, or horseback riding.

Sabrina Hornstein
 

Educational Advocate

Sabrina comes to Water’s Edge with years of personal experience advocating for her own children in most county systems.  Having experience as a foster parent and now adoptive parent, Sabrina is passionate about children having their educational and mental health needs meet in a just and equal way.   Sabrina has sat on many county committees such as System of Care, Peace4Crawford, Crawford County Human Services Board, and Clean Slate.  Sabrina was awarded the Expectational Parent of the Year 2014 by Beacon Health Care Options.

Sabrina is the is the mother of 3 children and married to her husband, Alan.  As a family they enjoy the beach, going to Waldameer, raising pigs and chickens, and spending time together.

Megan Whitman
 

Community Outreach Worker

Megan is a native of Meadville, Pa where she was born and raised.  She graduated from Meadville Area Senior High School in the class of 2002.  She went on to study Social Work at Anderson University.  Megan completed  her Youth Mental Health First Aid Certificate in 2022.

Megan has love for her community and a passion for empowering people and connecting them to resources and other people. She has spent the last several years volunteering and organizing several community and local outreach events.  She is excited to use her gifts and talents to bring the community together and get people connected to the resources our community has to offer.

​

Megan has a love for music and learning new things.  She can often be trying out new recipes in the kitchen as well as creating natural bath and body products. When she's not serving her community or creating you can find her at a local event or field being a loud mom and cheering on her kids and their friends.

Megan currently resides just outside of Meadville with her family, cat Simon, and their chickens.

Rebecca Seigworth
 

Community Engagement and Development Coordinator

Rebecca studied psychology, sociology, and early childhood development at the University of Edinboro of Pennsylvania and graduated with her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Specialized Studies in 2003.  Becky, as she prefers to be called, enjoyed Greek life and became an active member of Alpha Gamma Delta in Spring 2000, where she developed a passion for philanthropy.  Throughout her time at Edinboro she volunteered and spent hours at the Miller school, which was an on-site teaching school.  College students were able to observe and even interact with children K-5.  When Becky wasn’t participating in Greek week, homecoming events, and even volunteering time tutoring freshman, she could be found hanging out at the Miller school often reading to children, encouraging them to write books, and encouraging them to actively socialize with each other in a positive manner.  Becky’s senior year she became a camp counselor for the National Boys and Girls Club of America.  Where she was able to provide a safe, fun, and family centered environment at the campus which included daily swimming, hiking, games, puzzles, and even having family style breakfast, lunch and snack.  

 

Upon graduation in 2003, Becky has worked in many non-profit organizations in various social work roles in several surrounding counties.  She has experience in the pre-school setting and school setting (K-12) as a mental health worker, therapeutic support staff, Hi-Fi Facilitator coordinating and connecting local services and community resources.  She has worked with Head Start families by completing case management, admissions and facilitating support groups.  Becky has experience as a permanency specialist, post adoption support specialist, pregnancy counselor, and director of social services at a local nursing home.  

 

Becky is trained and certified in several evidenced based models that are strength-based as well as trauma informed.  Dr. Nicholas Hobb’s, “The 12 Re-Education Principles.”  “LSCI- Life Space Crisis Intervention”, SCM – Safe Crisis Management, “Circle of Courage,” “Sanctuary Model,” and Dr. Karyn Purvis “TBRI-Trust Based Relational Intervention.  

 

Becky found her purpose, and true calling in life as she started working with mothers who were facing an unplanned pregnancy who felt alone and scared.  Becky connected with these mothers and felt a sense of urgency to listen and join them, by walking hand and hand on their 

bottom of page
